This dragon boat festival is held annually on the Georgian Bay. Teams race in 40 ft long boats with a drummer, steerperson and 20 paddlers. Music, games for kids, food and vendors are all featured at the event.

The 1st Annual 14 km “Walk With Paul” will take place at Beach Area One in support of Breaking Down Barriers Independent Living Resource Centre and the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank. Registration requires a minimum of $100 in raised pledges or a $25 registration fee and includes a BBQ lunch and a Walk With Paul t-shirt. Donations of non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated. Registration starts at 7:30 am, with speeches following at 8:00 am. The Walk will begin at 8:30 am sharp. The BBQ lunch will take place from 12 pm to 3 pm at the Dunkerron parking lot, at the corner of Mosley Street and 18th Street. Prizes will be awarded to the Top Individual Fundraiser, Top Fundraising Team, Top Fundraising Business and to the First Individual and the First Team to cross the finish line.
